We specialize in making gourmet Thai food.

The Thai feast starts with soup (e.g. Tom yam ka gung) followed by three main dishes (e.g. chicken in massaman curry, pork in ginger sauce and patthai noodles), jasmine rice and salad. For dessert we offer tea and coffee and something sweet for you to nibble on.

We use only the highest quality ingredients so the Thai feast can differ from day to day depending on what is available. Please let us know in advance if anyone in your group has special needs for example due to allergy.

We do not have a liquor license so guests are welcome to bring their own drinks to enjoy with or after dinner.

We do not accept credit or debit cards as of yet.

Me (Bogi) and my wife Nok have been involved in the catering and restaurant business for decades. Nok helped her mother run a soup cart in Thailand when she was a child and later worked as a chef at a respected hotel restaurant in Bangkok. When she moved to Iceland in 1989 she brought with her a fantastic knowledge of her native countries food culture and Icelanders and foreign guests alike have been enjoying her skills for years.

I started out running a spring roll wagon in 1985. When Nok moved to the Iceland we opened the oriental fast food restaurant Thailandi in the city center and another more sophisticated Thai restaurant above the old one a few years later.

We have always put great effort and pride into our work. In the year 2000 we reaped as we sowed when a Thai princess and her entourage visited our restaurant. Among them was Thailand's most respected chef which was so impressed that he recommended us in the media back home in Thailand. Later that year reporters from Travel news Asia came and interviewed us. The article was published in November of that year in Sawadee in flight magazine for Thai airways. We were featured as the restaurant of the month.
